Electrolysis: Permanent Hair Removal for ALL!
Real results. Real freedom from the battle with unwanted hair. We can help you attain your goals. Here you will find a helpful Q & A to help you decide if electrolysis is right for you.
WHY CHOOSE ELECTROLYSIS?
With so many laser options available, electrolysis still remains the ONLY FDA approved permanent hair removal on the market today. Only electrolysis completely destroys the hair forever.
It can be performed on ALL skin and hair types, making electrolysis the only option for many.
Performed by licensed professionals who are state regulated and trained in universal sanitation procedures.
Electrolysis is the SAFEST choice for individuals with dark skin.
It is very cost effective when you consider its performance. Laser hair removal only reduces hair and comes with a commitment to periodic maintenance. That said, electrolysis is the perfect complement to complete hair removal when laser results have reached a plateau.
Individually Yours has been a doctor-referred electrolysis establishment serving the Wichita area since 1985.
WHAT AREAS CAN I TREAT?
You are not limited to simply removing unwanted facial hair. The only areas we can not perform electrolysis are the ear canal and the interior of the nose. Blondes, redheads, gray hair or skin too dark for laser rejoice! You can still have hair-free under arms, bikini lines, and even legs!
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
Every unwanted hair situation is unique. Factors such as the area being treated, hormone levels, depth or coarseness of hair, and commitment to the treatment program all influence the speed of a permanent outcome. Your electrolysis professional will, during your free consultation time, help you customize a plan to meet your needs.
DOES ELECTROLYSIS HURT?
Modern technology for electrolysis has not only sped up the overall treatment time, it has also greatly increased client comfort. Most people describe the sensation as a little like a bug bite. Clients who are used to tweezing or waxing generally tolerate electrolysis with no problem. For those with especially sensitive skin, topical numbing creams are available.
WILL ELECTROLYSIS SCAR?
Poorly administered electrolysis can scar. Our staff are carefully trained to work within the tolerance of each person’s skin. We factor in client comfort level, skin type, and sensitivity with each treatment. We have several types of probes at the ready for any need that arises. Any breakouts in the treated area can most usually be easily addressed by changing the probe or adjusting the intensity of the treatment.
IS THIS SAFE FOR PREGNANT WOMENT?
Yes. For our pregnant clients, we only use high frequency modalities which concentrate the electrical energy only in the area being treated. As pregnancy progresses, many women will take a break from treatment or refrain from treating certain areas, such as the breasts, because the skin can become quite sensitive until after delivery.
HOW DOES ELECTROLYSIS WORK?
A fine, sterile probe is inserted into the hair follicle and small amount of electrical energy is discharged which destroys the germative hair cells in the skin tissue. When this is completely achieved, the hair follicle will no longer produce hair. After treatment, the hair is lifted out and you leave with bare skin!
